I think it could be a fun game as long as everyone is generally at the same skill level, but as soon as someone gains a ton more experience and manages to bulldoze everyone to win every time… the game loses that “fun” aspect and gets to be quite frustrating.įeatured image was taken while playing the Gang Beasts Online beta.
I get punched and thrown around a lot haha.īefore getting an actual taste of the game, I was originally thinking of buying the local co-op version on Steam to play when visiting my boyfriend… I’m having second thoughts now. To be fair, I’ve only played a few matches and it seems like everyone else that is testing the beta is a lot more experienced at playing the game. With this Gang Beasts Online beta, I don’t think I graduated from bottom level button masher. My childhood of the Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Super Smash Bros games were mostly experienced from the sidelines, with maybe only a few games thrown in where I’d just be an over-excited button masher. And I shit you not, it’s one of the most difficult games to grasp when starting out, especially if you’ve got no controller and you’re using your keyboard. In the case of Gang Beasts, setting the lobby to custom is akin to setting the match to 'friends only' and allows the host to customize aspects of the game. Not a great fighter and want to replicate your wobbly noodle arms throwing punches? Gang Beasts online multiplayer beta is live Boneloaf and Coatsink were recently excited to open the online multiplayer beta for the silly party game featuring hostile gelatinous characters fighting in the hazardous streets and buildings of Beef City, Gang Beasts.
